Yamaha UX30A U3 gloss black upright piano - Professional level piano
Wow....another ultra rare find. This really is a piano for life. She has just had brand new Bass strings fitted and also benefits from brand new hammers and having been fully voiced by our technician. This is £2000 worth of parts and labour and ensures the piano sounds absolutely amazing. How many others for sale have had new bass strings and hammers..............ask the question to the sellers of 'refurbished' Yamaha pianos!!!
The Yamaha UX30A was based around the standard U3 but had X bracing across to frame to ensure stability. Also a revised bridge design saw it having longer strings than a standard U3 for an even better sound (and a U3 sounds great). The UX30A is even rarer than the UX3 due to limited numbers sold when new as these traded at over 60% more than a standard U3!!!!
She is an Upright / Grand hybrid piano. The harp, strings and action are traditional upright piano but she has grand piano key length and the front section of the piano is in the style of a grand piano with music stand at the perfect height as a grand piano would have. Behind the music stand there are vents built into the cabinet which allow the sound to come through. Come and have a play and feel and hear for yourself what these professional level upright pianos can achieve.
Due to the new bass strings the bottom end sounds sublime and she has that fabulous Yamaha lively sound to accompany this just perfectly.
We would be happy to recommend this piano for any level of pianist. She really is a quality professional instrument to satisfy the most demanding owner. We can happily sit for hours playing her as she is possibly the best all round upright piano we have had in.
She has a middle practice pedal for midnight piano practice 😃.

Unlike many sellers we are honest and open in our descriptions so as well as listing all the great things about the piano we also like to point out any stand out marks or details so you know exactly what to expect when your piano arrives. Please bear in mind that most gloss finish pianos will have very fine micro scratches in the polyester / polish from dusting and this is pretty much unavoidable. We have NEVER seen a piano without micro scratches.
This piano is in very very good condition. There are 2 extremely tiny (1mm) blemishes behind the piano lid and a small blemish on the left leg bottom front. Nothing that will photograph and again you would have to really look hard to see them. There are 2 keys with tiny 2mm blemishes on them when really inspecting closely. They won't photograph easily and you need to correct light to be able to see them. We have spent over 25 hours buffing and restoring this piano to as new condition and you certainly won't expect it to look as good as she does. We honestly feel you will not find one in better condition.

Too many times have we turned up to view an 'immaculate' piano to find that it has cup stains and broken hinges etc where people's general response is "what do you expect for 20 years old". We hate this, and I'm sure you do too so you can be sure if we say a piano is as new, it is. If we say it has some marks around, it does. And if we say it is not suitable for a grade 8 pianist, chances are it isn't.
One of our pet hates is people or companies selling 'refurbished' pianos. Granted some of these may be part refurbished to a good standard, but with over 9000 parts in an upright piano, how many have really been 'refurbished' and not just had the odd felt or sticking key sorted. If you put a new tyre on a car you wouldn't say the car had been refurbished would you? Therefore, you will not see any 'refurbished' pianos for sale at Rowlandson pianos, just good quality serviced pianos.
RETURN & REFUND POLICY
If you are unhappy with, or change your mind about your purchase within the first 30 days you are welcome to return it, at your cost, for a full refund as long as it arrives back at Rowlandson pianos in the same condition as it left. Pianos are a big piece of furniture and are neither cheap or easy to move around and we suggest that we can, at your cost, collect the item or you are welcome to make your own arrangements to return it but we do advice a specialist transport company and can usually recommend someone local to yourselves.
DELIVERY INFO
Delivery is charged at £1 per mile using google maps from our base at WF10 3QZ. We do this so you can quickly and easily work out the delivery charges. We transport our own pianos but we do work with other respectable piano moving companies who cover other areas and if they can deliver the piano to you cheaper than ourselves we will happily use their services and pass on the savings to yourselves. Collection is also welcome and we are happy to help with loading if needed but we do advise the use of a specialist piano moving company
