We are proud to offer this stunning Yamaha MX100A based on the Yamaha U1 upright piano. The most popular upright piano of the last 50 years. It plays like a Yamaha U1 should with a bright sound and strong even bass. It has a medium action and has been tuned to concert pitch and regulated. It comes fully checked by our technician to ensure years of enjoyment. It has a middle practice pedal too for some midnight practice.
The piano was manufactured with the factory fitted Disklavier system which means it can play itself. The keys move and the pedals move too. It is so impressive (apart from it freaks Sally out but that's her problem 😂) and you too can imagine being a virtuoso pianist without the work!!!🤭). This particular piano also has midi in and out so it can be connected to a computer (although this is beyond my technical limits) and although it still uses a floppy disk drive to store the songs it can be upgraded to a USB system. We can offer this service for an additional £395
Not only can you play pre recorded pieces but you can also record straight from the piano onto disc and then play it back. Great for fine tuning those masterpieces. She even comes with 4 x genuine Yamaha floppy disc albums to get the most from her.

Unlike many sellers we are honest and open in our descriptions so as well as listing all the great things about the piano we also like to point out any stand out marks or details so you know exactly what to expect when your piano arrives. Please bear in mind that most gloss finish pianos will have very fine micro scratches in the polyester / polish from dusting and this is pretty much unavoidable. We have NEVER seen a piano without micro scratches.
This U1 / MX100 is in average condition. It has minimal wear on the action and the Disklavier function works perfect. Unfortunately the casework does have lots of marks of use around but from 3 feet away she is still an impressive looking piano and would normally retail with is at £4250 so a saving of £1000 !!!!!!! Because there are quite a few marks around the piano (mainly on the end cheeks) we have taken plenty of photos to give you a good idea of how she looks.
Although the Disklavier function all works as it should we are unfortunately unable to offer any warrenty on the electronics within the piano. This is purely down to the age of the electronics and parts. When we deliver the piano we will of course ensure it is in perfect working order before we leave and can even record a few songs of your liking on the piano. The piano is priced as we would a normal U1 of this age and in this condition so the Disklavier system is an added bonus. Too many times have we turned up to view a 'immaculate' piano to find that it has cup stains and broken hinges etc where people's general response is "what do you expect for 20 years old". We hate this, and I'm sure you do too so you can be sure if we say a piano is as new, it is. If we say it has some marks around, it does. And if we say it is not suitable for a grade 8 pianist, chances are it isn't.
One of our pet hates is people or companies selling 'refurbished' pianos. Granted some of these may be part refurbished to a good standard, but with over 9000 parts in an upright piano, how many have really been 'refurbished' and not just had the odd felt or sticking key sorted. If you put a new tyre on a car you would describe the car as refurbished would you? Therefore, you will not see any 'refurbished' pianos for sale at Rowlandson pianos, just good quality serviced pianos.
RETURN & REFUND POLICY
If you are unhappy with, or change your mind about your purchase within the first 30 days you are welcome to return it, at your cost, for a full refund as long as it arrives back at Rowlandson pianos in the same condition as it left. Pianos are a big piece of furniture and are neither cheap or easy to move around and we suggest that we can, at your cost, collect the item or you are welcome to make your own arrangements to return it but we do advice a specialist transport company and can usually recommend someone local to yourselves.
DELIVERY INFO
Delivery is charged at £1 per mile using google maps from our base at WF10 3QZ. We do this so you can quickly and easily work out the delivery charges. We transport our own pianos but we do work with other respectable piano moving companies who cover other areas and if they can deliver the piano to you cheaper than ourselves we will happily use their services and pass on the savings to yourselves. Collection is also welcome and we are happy to help with loading if needed but we do advise the use of a specialist piano moving company
