We are proud to offer this stunning Yamaha U1 upright piano. The most popular upright piano of the last 50 years. It plays like a Yamaha U1 should with a bright sound and strong even bass. It has a medium action and has been tuned to concert pitch and regulated. We really enjoy playing this piano and sometimes a piano just captures you a little bit more than some others and this one is definitely one of those. It comes fully checked by our technician to ensure years of enjoyment. It has a middle practice pedal too for some midnight practice. This piano was made in the first year of U1 production and it feels absolute quality. You can tell that Yamaha we're taking it to the German manufacturers with the U1 and it plays just as good today.
Working in Collaboration with CraigBprojects the piano has been professionally sanded, prepared and then painted in gorgeous Little Green Basalt. It also come with a matching stool which also benefits from being painted in basalt and re-upholstered. This really is something special and it really stands out among the other gloss black and mahogany pianos as just a little bit more special. Try finding another!!!!!!

Unlike many sellers we are honest and open in our descriptions so as well as listing all the great things about the piano we also like to point out any stand out marks or details so you know exactly what to expect when your piano arrives. This U1 is in exceptional condition having only just been refinished in our workshop and the casework is in as near new condition as you can get. The keys feel tight and the sound is crystal clear.

Too many times have we turned up to view a 'immaculate' piano to find that it has cup stains and broken hinges etc where people's general response is "what do you expect for 20 years old". We hate this, and I'm sure you do too so you can be sure if we say a piano is as new, it is. If we say it has some marks around, it does. And if we say it is not suitable for a grade 8 pianist, chances are it isn't.
One of our pet hates is people or companies selling 'refurbished' pianos. Granted some of these may be part refurbished to a good standard, but with over 9000 parts in an upright piano, how many have really been 'refurbished' and not just had the odd felt or sticking key sorted. If you put a new tyre on a car you would describe the car as refurbished would you? Therefore, you will not see any 'refurbished' pianos for sale at Rowlandson pianos, just good quality serviced pianos.
RETURN & REFUND POLICY
If you are unhappy with, or change your mind about your purchase within the first 30 days you are welcome to return it, at your cost, for a full refund as long as it arrives back at Rowlandson pianos in the same condition as it left. Pianos are a big piece of furniture and are neither cheap or easy to move around and we suggest that we can, at your cost, collect the item or you are welcome to make your own arrangements to return it but we do advice a specialist transport company and can usually recommend someone local to yourselves.
DELIVERY INFO
Delivery is charged at £1 per mile using google maps from our base at WF10 3QZ. We do this so you can quickly and easily work out the delivery charges. We transport our own pianos but we do work with other respectable piano moving companies who cover other areas and if they can deliver the piano to you cheaper than ourselves we will happily use their services and pass on the savings to yourselves. Collection is also welcome and we are happy to help with loading if needed but we do advise the use of a specialist piano moving company
