Steinbach UP118 upright piano - gloss rosewood

Steinbach UP118 upright piano - gloss rosewood

************ SOLD ************

Steinbach UP118 upright piano in a gorgeous gloss Rosewood.   Only 20 years old and one owner.  The keys and action feel great and inside the cabinet is immaculate.  Has a middle practice pedal if you fancy some midnight practice without annoying the neighbours!  We would be happy to recommend this piano to anyone from beginner to intermediate /advanced. We can happily play grade 8 classical pieces on this piano.  Has a bright modern sound and at 118cm high has a pretty strong bass (it's only 3cm shorter than a Yamaha U1) for a more rounded sound compared to some smaller pianos.  We would normally retail this piano for £1999 but due to some small cosmetic details we are offering it at HALF PRICE !!!!!!.  The piano has been tuned to A440 concert pitch and checked over by our technician to ensure many trouble free years to come

Dimensions

Height - 118cm

Width - 141cm

Depth - 59cm

Unlike many sellers we are honest and open in our descriptions so as well as listing all the great things about the piano we also like to point out any marks or small details so you know exactly what to expect when your piano arrives.  The Steinbach looks amazing from a few feet away but on closer inspection there are a few blemishes.  The top is quite scratched (lacquer scratch rather than the colour) from photo frames etc being place on top of it and there are some chips in the top of the key lid (probably from the aforementioned photo frames falling off, and they can't be seen with the lid up). There are a couple of other small chips and nicks around but we hope you can see from the photos it is still an impressive looking piano.

*please note we are waiting for a string for the piano which should arrive in early July.  You can wait for delivery until it is fitted or we can deliver the piano and arrange to have the string fitted at your house once it arrives.  The piano still plays fine and it isn't that noticeable as it is on a double string note so the note still sounds on the existing string.

  • WHY BUY FROM ROWLANDSON PIANOS

Here at Rowlandson pianos we pride ourselves on supplying good quality modern pianos and want the customer to be truly satisfied.  In an ever changing world we have adapted by making more information on the pianos accessible online, so you can see lots of photos and a video of the piano being played.  We actively seek to give an unbiased description of each piano we have for sale including any negative points.  Too many times have we turned up to view a 'immaculate' piano to find that it has cup stains and broken hinges etc where people's general response is "what do you expect for 20 years old".  We hate this, and I'm sure you do too so you can be sure if we say a piano is as new, it is.  If we say it has some marks around, it does.  And if we say it is not suitable for a grade 8 pianist, chances are it isn't.

One of our pet hates is people or companies selling 'refurbished' pianos.  Granted some of these may be part refurbished to a good standard, but with over 9000 parts in an upright piano, how many have really been 'refurbished' and not just had the odd felt or sticking key sorted.  If you put a new tyre on a car you would describe the car as refurbished would you?  Therefore, you will not see any 'refurbished' pianos for sale at Rowlandson pianos, just good quality serviced pianos.

  • RETURN & REFUND POLICY

If you are unhappy with, or change your mind about your purchase within the first 30 days you are welcome to return it, at your cost, for a full refund as long as it arrives back at Rowlandson pianos in the same condition as it left.  Pianos are a big piece of furniture and are neither cheap or easy to move around and we suggest that we can, at your cost, collect the item or you are welcome to make your own arrangements to return it but we do advice a specialist transport company and can usually recommend someone local to yourselves.

  • DELIVERY INFO

Delivery is charged at £1 per mile using google maps from our base at WF10 3QZ.  We do this so you can quickly and easily work out the delivery charges.  We transport our own pianos but we do work with other respectable piano moving companies who cover other areas and if they can deliver the piano to you cheaper than ourselves we will happily use their services and pass on the savings to yourselves.  Collection is also welcome and we are happy to help with loading if needed but we do advise the use of a specialist piano moving company
