Yamaha M108 compact upright piano

Yamaha M108 compact upright piano

Great little compact Yamaha M108 upright piano in a natural wood finish. Rare Japanese made compact Yamaha. She has a medium touch and a really nice sound for such a compact instrument. She has a good range of dynamics and doesn't have an awful break between the treble and bass section that you get on some compact pianos. In good condition with the exception of some sun fading to the cabinet, hence the different shades of colour. This in no way affects anything except the look of the piano.

She has a middle practice pedal for some midnight practice and is tuned to A440 concert pitch. An absolutely wonderful piano for under £1000. Ideal beginner/ intermediate piano but she is able to keep up with grade 8 standard playing. We think you will be pretty impressed with her. If she was gloss black she would be £2000!!!!!!!!!

We have always tried to stock a wide range of pianos that fulfill budgets from £500 - £5000 with some exceptions that are that little bit special. With rising costs of running our business it has become increasingly difficult to source and prepare pianos under £1000. The costs of collection of the piano, the costs of delivering the piano, showroom costs and our costs of preparing the pianos have all increased. We sometimes spend over £300 (one of our pianos we had purchased came with moth damage to the keybed felts and cost over £800 to restore her back to her original standard) with our technicians just to have a piano set up and prepared to our standards and that is without any parts. We don't want to provide you with a piano that we have just 'cleaned' and put in the showroom. We ensure they are all tuned to concert pitch, regulated to ensure they play the best they can, and inspect and replace any parts that may need replacing. We have to question how some other sellers can sell a good quality piano for under £1000 without a reason why it is that price. How much work really has gone into making sure it is set up and in a good playing condition to last ?

Unlike many sellers we are honest and open in our descriptions so as well as listing all the great things about the piano we also like to point out any stand out marks or details so you know exactly what to expect when your piano arrives. Please bear in mind that most gloss finish pianos will have very fine micro scratches in the polyester / polish from dusting and this is pretty much unavoidable. We have NEVER seen a piano without micro scratches.

In very good condition with only a few minor 1mm blemishes which are photographed. The main issue and why she is priced so low Is just the sun fading to the cabinet. Please check out the pictures which hopefully give you a good representation.

  • WHY BUY FROM ROWLANDSON PIANOS

Here at Rowlandson pianos we pride ourselves on supplying good quality modern pianos and want the customer to be truly satisfied.  In an ever changing world we have adapted by making more information on the pianos accessible online, so you can see lots of photos and a video of the piano being played.  We actively seek to give an unbiased description of each piano we have for sale including any negative points.  Too many times have we turned up to view an 'immaculate' piano to find that it has cup stains and broken hinges etc where people's general response is "what do you expect for 20 years old".  We hate this, and I'm sure you do too so you can be sure if we say a piano is as new, it is.  If we say it has some marks around, it does.  And if we say it is not suitable for a grade 8 pianist, chances are it isn't.

One of our pet hates is people or companies selling 'refurbished' pianos.  Granted some of these may well be 'part' refurbished to a good standard, but with over 9000 parts in an upright piano, how many have really been 'refurbished' and not just had the odd felt or sticking key sorted.  You wouldn't put a new tyre on a car and then sell the car as 'refurbished' would you?  Therefore, you will not see any 'refurbished' pianos for sale at Rowlandson pianos, just good quality serviced pianos.

  • RETURN & REFUND POLICY

If you are unhappy with, or change your mind about your purchase within the first 30 days you are welcome to return it, at your cost, for a full refund as long as it arrives back at Rowlandson pianos in the same condition as it left.  Pianos are a big piece of furniture and are neither cheap or easy to move around and we suggest that we can, at your cost, collect the item or you are welcome to make your own arrangements to return it but we do advice a specialist transport company and can usually recommend someone local to yourselves.

  • DELIVERY INFO

Delivery is charged at £1 per mile using google maps from our base at WF10 3QZ.  We do this so you can quickly and easily work out the delivery charges.  We transport our own pianos but we do work with other respectable piano moving companies who cover other areas and if they can deliver the piano to you cheaper than ourselves we will happily use their services and pass on the savings to yourselves.  Collection is also welcome and we are happy to help with loading if needed but we do advise the use of a specialist piano moving company
