Schimmel 100 upright piano - CHOOSE YOUR OWN COLOUR

Schimmel 100 upright piano - CHOOSE YOUR OWN COLOUR

Schimmel Model 100 compact upright piano

Here is your opportunity to purchase a fantastic 1970’s Schimmel compact piano and have it refinished in the colour of you choice , all included in the price (Little Greene is our preferred supplier).  She is a Model 100 and is the smallest of the Schimmel range.  They really are fantastic little pianos.  She plays well and sounds better than you would expect such a small piano to sound.  Due to her small size she is ideal for small spaces and apartments.  She has been tuned to concert pitch and also regulated to ensure she plays as well as possible.

These small compact German pianos have quite a following and if your looking for that little bit of quality you have found it.

We have cleaned, sanded and prepared the casework and at the moment she sits in Little Greene matt dark undercoat.  We decided that rather than paint her in one of our choices we would let the buyer decide her new colour.  We can refinish in any of the Little Greene paint finishes and this would take approximately one week from purchase.  (Please note that unfortunately we do not offer gloss finish as they never look that good when not factory applied like polyester )

Dimensions

Height - 104cm

Width - 147cm

Depth - 52cm

Unlike many sellers we are honest and open in our descriptions so as well as listing all the great things about the piano we also like to point out any marks or small details so you know exactly what to expect when your piano arrives.  The case work looks fantastic and even in Primer she looks great.  We have made some casework repairs with edges etc where pianos suffer small chips from age and upon really close inspection you could maybe see a slight texture difference where we have filled and sanded but it isn’t noticeable on camera and we are sure you will not even notice.  It certainly doesn’t detract from the overall look of the piano.

Inside the cabinet there is some tarnish / age to the strings as to be expected of a 1970’s piano but these do not affect the sound, we would just prefer to be honest.  It’s more a visual thing and it doesn’t detract from the sound the Schimmel makes.

There are some minor marks on some of the key tops but they are difficult to photograph and again it’s only because we want a good honest description that we would mention them as 99% of people would not notice.  If you would prefer we can change the whole set of key tops for an additional £350 to brand new bright white but it isn’t needed.  Maybe we are too honest…………

We have priced her very competitively to other Schimmel pianos on the market and don’t think you will be disappointed with her at this price point.  Do not confuse her with cheaper hand painted budget brand pianos.  These are a premium piano brand.

She will also come with a colour matched stool

  • WHY BUY FROM ROWLANDSON PIANOS

Here at Rowlandson pianos we pride ourselves on supplying good quality modern pianos and want the customer to be truly satisfied.  In an ever changing world we have adapted by making more information on the pianos accessible online, so you can see lots of photos and a video of the piano being played.  We actively seek to give an unbiased description of each piano we have for sale including any negative points.  Too many times have we turned up to view a 'immaculate' piano to find that it has cup stains and broken hinges etc where people's general response is "what do you expect for 20 years old".  We hate this, and I'm sure you do too so you can be sure if we say a piano is as new, it is.  If we say it has some marks around, it does.  And if we say it is not suitable for a grade 8 pianist, chances are it isn't.

One of our pet hates is people or companies selling 'refurbished' pianos.  Granted some of these may be part refurbished to a good standard, but with over 9000 parts in an upright piano, how many have really been 'refurbished' and not just had the odd felt or sticking key sorted.  If you put a new tyre on a car you would describe the car as refurbished would you?  Therefore, you will not see any 'refurbished' pianos for sale at Rowlandson pianos, just good quality serviced pianos.

  • RETURN & REFUND POLICY

If you are unhappy with, or change your mind about your purchase within the first 30 days you are welcome to return it, at your cost, for a full refund as long as it arrives back at Rowlandson pianos in the same condition as it left.  Pianos are a big piece of furniture and are neither cheap or easy to move around and we suggest that we can, at your cost, collect the item or you are welcome to make your own arrangements to return it but we do advice a specialist transport company and can usually recommend someone local to yourselves.

  • DELIVERY INFO

Delivery is charged at £1 per mile using google maps from our base at WF10 3QZ.  We do this so you can quickly and easily work out the delivery charges.  We transport our own pianos but we do work with other respectable piano moving companies who cover other areas and if they can deliver the piano to you cheaper than ourselves we will happily use their services and pass on the savings to yourselves.  Collection is also welcome and we are happy to help with loading if needed but we do advise the use of a specialist piano moving company
