Kemble Oxford satin Mahogany upright piano

Kemble Oxford satin Mahogany upright piano

Looking for a fantastic piano under £2000.........this is it.  Amazing Kemble Oxford piano made in England towards the end of Kemble piano production.  The Kemble Oxford pianos have excellent build quality and fantastic actions.  We really believe this is the best all round piano that we have in stock for under £2000.  If this was gloss black it would be £2995!!!!!

The case is quite deceiving in that it has very compact dimensions but looks much bigger.  She has a satin mahogany finish in good condition.  Inside the piano is in fantastic condition with minimal wear on the hammers.  The touch of the piano is where she excels with loud and quite dynamics easily achieved and a good gradient of touch in between.  The bass, although only a small piano, is surprisingly rounded as a lot of pianos of this size have an almost artificial bass, loud but with no depth, if that makes sense.

If you come and play her you will understand why she is such a great piano.  She will reward you for years to come.

She has a middle practice pedal for midnight piano practice 😃.

You will see these advertised for £2750 upwards so be quick with her as we don't anticipate she will hang around at this price!!!

Unlike many sellers we are honest and open in our descriptions so as well as listing all the great things about the piano we also like to point out any stand out marks or details so you know exactly what to expect when your piano arrives.  Please bear in mind that most modern finish pianos will have very fine micro scratches in the polyester / polish from dusting and this is pretty much unavoidable. We have NEVER seen a piano without micro scratches.

This piano is in very good condition with only a few things of note.

There are a few minor marks around the piano that although do not detract from her overall appearance we would prefer to point out.  The veneer at the front of both feet have had small smart repairs where there was some damage to the veneer coating.  This happened when the previous owner tried to move the piano from room to room and caught the front feet on the door frame 🙈.  There are also a few small 2mm marks which you can see in the pictures above.  Normal wear and tear is what most other sellers would say but the never show them?  Why?  We have had to get Sally to point at them as they were difficult to photograph.  We have never had anyone say a piano isnt as described and most people wonder why we mention marks that 99% of people can't even see but that's just how we are. Check the pictures, they do not lie!

A video of the piano being played can be found at the end of the photo gallery

  • WHY BUY FROM ROWLANDSON PIANOS

Here at Rowlandson pianos we pride ourselves on supplying good quality modern pianos and want the customer to be truly satisfied.  In an ever changing world we have adapted by making more information on the pianos accessible online, so you can see lots of photos and a video of the piano being played.  We actively seek to give an unbiased description of each piano we have for sale including any negative points.  Too many times have we turned up to view an 'immaculate' piano to find that it has cup stains and broken hinges etc where people's general response is "what do you expect for 20 years old".  We hate this, and I'm sure you do too so you can be sure if we say a piano is as new, it is.  If we say it has some marks around, it does.  And if we say it is not suitable for a grade 8 pianist, chances are it isn't.

One of our pet hates is people or companies selling 'refurbished' pianos.  Granted some of these may be part refurbished to a good standard, but with over 9000 parts in an upright piano, how many have really been 'refurbished' and not just had the odd felt or sticking key sorted.   If you put a new tyre on a car you wouldn't say the car had been refurbished would you?   Therefore, you will not see any 'refurbished' pianos for sale at Rowlandson pianos, just good quality serviced pianos.

  • RETURN & REFUND POLICY

If you are unhappy with, or change your mind about your purchase within the first 30 days you are welcome to return it, at your cost, for a full refund as long as it arrives back at Rowlandson pianos in the same condition as it left.  Pianos are a big piece of furniture and are neither cheap or easy to move around and we suggest that we can, at your cost, collect the item or you are welcome to make your own arrangements to return it but we do advice a specialist transport company and can usually recommend someone local to yourselves.

  • DELIVERY INFO

Delivery is charged at £1 per mile using google maps from our base at WF10 3QZ.  We do this so you can quickly and easily work out the delivery charges.  We transport our own pianos but we do work with other respectable piano moving companies who cover other areas and if they can deliver the piano to you cheaper than ourselves we will happily use their services and pass on the savings to yourselves.  Collection is also welcome and we are happy to help with loading if needed but we do advise the use of a specialist piano moving company
