Kemble Empire gloss mahogany - Stunning and rare
Here is a rare piano, a Kemble empire upright piano in probably the best condition you will find this rare model in. There is no sun fade on her which is so rare for a piano of this age, especially behind the lid. In a lovely mahogany cabinet but with a flame mahogany front panel. Absolutely gorgeous!!!!!!!!
Kemble are a very well regarded English piano manufacturer who make fantastic pianos and the empire is no exception. We love this piano!!!'. She uses a fantastic Langer 100 action and dynamics are a breeze to play. She is a bit softer and more gentle than an equivalent Japanese piano such as a Yamaha but still retails great clarity. The Mahogany panelling and brass fittings really give her an authority over the other upright pianos in our showroom. Just look at her!!!! Pure class.
She would suit any pianist from beginner to advanced. Everyone loves her who plays her but they are always looking for a gloss black piano...........boring. Be a devil and break the trend 😃

Unlike many sellers we are honest and open in our descriptions so as well as listing all the great things about the piano we also like to point out any stand out marks or details so you know exactly what to expect when your piano arrives.Please bear in mind that most gloss finish pianos will have very fine micro scratches in the polyester / polish from dusting and this is pretty much unavoidable. We have NEVER seen a piano without micro scratches.
This particular piano is in very very good condition throughout and possibly the best condition empire for sale today. There are a few tiny 1-2mm blemishes but nothing that would photograph and nothing at all that stands out. An absolutely class piano. There is no sun fading like most of these models you see for sale.

In an ever changing world we have adapted by making more information on the pianos accessible online, so you can see lots of photos and a video of the piano being played. We actively seek to give an unbiased description of each piano we have for sale including any negative points. Too many times have we turned up to view a 'immaculate' piano to find that it has cup stains and broken hinges etc where people's general response is "what do you expect for 20 years old". We hate this, and I'm sure you do too so you can be sure if we say a piano is as new, it is. If we say it has some marks around, it does. And if we say it is not suitable for a grade 8 pianist, chances are it isn't.
One of our pet hates is people or companies selling 'refurbished' pianos. Granted some of these may be part refurbished to a good standard, but with over 9000 parts in an upright piano, how many have really been 'refurbished' and not just had the odd felt or sticking key sorted. If you put a new tyre on a car you would describe the car as refurbished would you? Therefore, you will not see any 'refurbished' pianos for sale at Rowlandson pianos, just good quality serviced pianos.
RETURN & REFUND POLICY
If you are unhappy with, or change your mind about your purchase within the first 30 days you are welcome to return it, at your cost, for a full refund as long as it arrives back at Rowlandson pianos in the same condition as it left. Pianos are a big piece of furniture and are neither cheap or easy to move around and we suggest that we can, at your cost, collect the item or you are welcome to make your own arrangements to return it but we do advice a specialist transport company and can usually recommend someone local to yourselves.
DELIVERY INFO
Delivery is charged at £1 per mile using google maps from our base at WF10 3QZ. We do this so you can quickly and easily work out the delivery charges. We transport our own pianos but we do work with other respectable piano moving companies who cover other areas and if they can deliver the piano to you cheaper than ourselves we will happily use their services and pass on the savings to yourselves. Collection is also welcome and we are happy to help with loading if needed but we do advise the use of a specialist piano moving company
