Hermann Mayr compact piano refinished in midnight blue. We took this piano in part exchange and have been experimenting with different paint finishes for our current projects. It has been stripped back and refinished in midnight blue and also the stool has been refinished in the same midnight blue and recovered in yellow/gold.
The piano is a basic starter piano that would be good for the first few years of learning.
The finish looks great from a few feet away but upon closer inspection the paint finish isn't always even and there are a few small scuffs from removing the front cover for tuning. There is also a small split in the keyboard lid.
This piano plays ok and you can see the video at the end of the photo real but please bear in mind it is no Yamaha and is sold as a starter piano. At the price we don't think you will be disappointed. It has been tuned to concert pitch and holds tune well.

We hate this, and I'm sure you do too so you can be sure if we say a piano is as new, it is. If we say it has some marks around, it does. And if we say it is not suitable for a grade 8 pianist, chances are it isn't.
One of our pet hates is people or companies selling 'refurbished' pianos. Granted some of these may be part refurbished to a good standard, but with over 9000 parts in an upright piano, how many have really been 'refurbished' and not just had the odd felt or sticking key sorted. If you put a new tyre on a car you would describe the car as refurbished would you? Therefore, you will not see any 'refurbished' pianos for sale at Rowlandson pianos, just good quality serviced pianos.
RETURN & REFUND POLICY
If you are unhappy with, or change your mind about your purchase within the first 30 days you are welcome to return it, at your cost, for a full refund as long as it arrives back at Rowlandson pianos in the same condition as it left. Pianos are a big piece of furniture and are neither cheap or easy to move around and we suggest that we can, at your cost, collect the item or you are welcome to make your own arrangements to return it but we do advice a specialist transport company and can usually recommend someone local to yourselves.
DELIVERY INFO
Delivery is charged at £1 per mile using google maps from our base at WF10 3QZ. We do this so you can quickly and easily work out the delivery charges. We transport our own pianos but we do work with other respectable piano moving companies who cover other areas and if they can deliver the piano to you cheaper than ourselves we will happily use their services and pass on the savings to yourselves. Collection is also welcome and we are happy to help with loading if needed but we do advise the use of a specialist piano moving company
