Furstein compact Upright piano - Gloss black
***** Video will be added 12th January as we are currently catching up with fine tuning and setting up the pianos after the Christmas period*****
A very rare Italian made Furstein compact upright piano in a modern gloss black polyester finish. An absolutely lovely little piano in excellent condition. She is really compact at 105cm high but the sound is fantastic for such a small piano. Yes she isn’t no Yamaha U3 but we are really impressed with her and would happily put her alongside a Yamaha B1 or Kawai K15 for comparison and at a much cheaper price. She also uses the fantastic Langer 75 action found in lots of Kemble pianos
She has a medium touch and would make a great piano for someone wanting the benefits of touch and sound of an acoustic piano without breaking the bank.
She has a middle practice pedal for some midnight practice and is tuned to A440 concert pitch. These modern 3 pedal compact pianos are very reliable and hold tune with ease. Why purchase a 100 year old piano from eBay that probably needs lots of money spending on it to ensure it plays ok and probably needs retuning 4-5 times a year.

Unlike many sellers we are honest and open in our descriptions so as well as listing all the great things about the piano we also like to point out any stand out marks or details so you know exactly what to expect when your piano arrives. Please bear in mind that most gloss finish pianos will have very fine micro scratches in the polyester / polish from dusting and this is pretty much unavoidable. We have NEVER seen a piano without micro scratches.
She is in fantastic condition. The only point of note is some extremely light fading on the left side above the hinge on the keyboard lid of a couple of inch’s but we can’t even get it to show on photos and you would need LED lights to really see it. You certainly won’t be disappointed by the looks and sound of this piano.
We have always tried to stock a wide range of pianos that fulfill budgets from £500 - £5000 with some exceptions that are that little bit special. With rising costs of running our business it has become increasingly difficult to source and prepare pianos under £1000. The costs of collection of the piano, the costs of delivering the piano, showroom costs and our costs of preparing the pianos have all increased. We sometimes spend over £300 (one of our pianos we had purchased came with moth damage to the keybed felts and cost over £800 to restore her back to her original standard) with our technicians just to have a piano set up and prepared to our standards and that is without any parts. We don't want to provide you with a piano that we have just 'cleaned' and put in the showroom. We ensure they are all tuned to concert pitch, regulated to ensure they play the best they can, and inspect and replace any parts that may need replacing. We have to question how some other sellers can sell a good quality piano for under £1000 without a reason why it is that price. How much work really has gone into making sure it is set up and in a good playing condition to last ?

WHY BUY FROM ROWLANDSON PIANOS
Here at Rowlandson pianos we pride ourselves on supplying good quality modern pianos and want the customer to be truly satisfied. In an ever changing world we have adapted by making more information on the pianos accessible online, so you can see lots of photos and a video of the piano being played. We actively seek to give an unbiased description of each piano we have for sale including any negative points. Too many times have we turned up to view an 'immaculate' piano to find that it has cup stains and broken hinges etc where people's general response is "what do you expect for 20 years old". We hate this, and I'm sure you do too so you can be sure if we say a piano is as new, it is. If we say it has some marks around, it does. And if we say it is not suitable for a grade 8 pianist, chances are it isn't.
One of our pet hates is people or companies selling 'refurbished' pianos. Granted some of these may well be 'part' refurbished to a good standard, but with over 9000 parts in an upright piano, how many have really been 'refurbished' and not just had the odd felt or sticking key sorted. You wouldn't put a new tyre on a car and then sell the car as 'refurbished' would you? Therefore, you will not see any 'refurbished' pianos for sale at Rowlandson pianos, just good quality serviced pianos.
RETURN & REFUND POLICY
If you are unhappy with, or change your mind about your purchase within the first 30 days you are welcome to return it, at your cost, for a full refund as long as it arrives back at Rowlandson pianos in the same condition as it left. Pianos are a big piece of furniture and are neither cheap or easy to move around and we suggest that we can, at your cost, collect the item or you are welcome to make your own arrangements to return it but we do advice a specialist transport company and can usually recommend someone local to yourselves.
