Fazer 110 compact upright piano - Gloss black

Fazer 110 compact upright piano - Gloss black

Impressive Fazer 110cm upright piano finished in Gloss black. She plays and sounds like a much more expensive piano with a fantastic tone and good depth considering the size of the piano. She is not artificially bright like some of the 110 models you can get. She has a medium touch action which is in very good condition and In our opinion she feels and sounds a little bit above some of the other Budget compact pianos. There are some casework imperfections detailed below hence the low price for such a piano. In very good condition she would be £1850.

These Fazer pianos, built in Finland, are extremely durable and reliable and are ultra rare in a black polyester factory finish, nearly all fazer pianos were brown.

All the brass work is bright and she benefits from a middle practice pedal to quieten the piano for some midnight practice. We are able to play most types of music on her and she sounds more rounded than some of our larger pianos. we personally feel that this plays and sounds better than a Yamaha c110

Unlike many sellers we are honest and open in our descriptions so as well as listing all the great things about the piano we also like to point out any stand out marks or details so you know exactly what to expect when your piano arrives. Please bear in mind that most gloss finish pianos will have very fine micro scratches in the polyester / polish from dusting and this is pretty much unavoidable. We have NEVER seen a piano without micro scratches.

This particular piano is in ok condition and from a distance of a metre away looks absolutely stunning and like there are no marks on her but upon closer inspection there are a couple of imperfections on the piano. The main issue is the polyester on the very front edge of the piano lid (top lid and keyboard lid) have worn quite thin. We didn’t even notice until we started preparing her as we thought it was the reflection of the light on the edge. We have performed a smart repair on the edge but it is still visible if you know it is there. The keyboard lid one can’t be seen though when the lid is up. We have had a small repair on the very bottom sides of the piano about 2” long (normal on these compact pianos with no castors from previous moves. You wouldn't have noticed if we hadn't said and we have put photos above so you can see for your self. ). There is also a hairline crack about 4” long on the inside of the right cheek in the polyester coating (not the piano). We hope you can see how stunning this is and without these imperfections we would be asking £1800+.

We have always tried to stock a wide range of pianos that fulfill budgets from £500 - £5000 with some exceptions that are that little bit special. With rising costs of running our business it has become increasingly difficult to source and prepare pianos under £1000. The costs of collection of the piano, the costs of delivering the piano, showroom costs and our costs of preparing the pianos have all increased. We sometimes spend over £300 (one of our pianos we had purchased came with moth damage to the keybed felts and cost over £800 to restore her back to her original standard) with our technicians just to have a piano set up and prepared to our standards and that is without any parts. We don't want to provide you with a piano that we have just 'cleaned' and put in the showroom. We ensure they are all tuned to concert pitch, regulated to ensure they play the best they can, and inspect and replace any parts that may need replacing. We have to question how some other sellers can sell a good quality piano for under £1000 without a reason why it is that price. How much work really has gone into making sure it is set up and in a good playing condition to last ?

You are more than welcome to come and view and play the piano at our showroom.

  • WHY BUY FROM ROWLANDSON PIANOS

Here at Rowlandson pianos we pride ourselves on supplying good quality modern pianos and want the customer to be truly satisfied.  In an ever changing world we have adapted by making more information on the pianos accessible online, so you can see lots of photos and a video of the piano being played.  We actively seek to give an unbiased description of each piano we have for sale including any negative points.  Too many times have we turned up to view an 'immaculate' piano to find that it has cup stains and broken hinges etc where people's general response is "what do you expect for 20 years old".  We hate this, and I'm sure you do too so you can be sure if we say a piano is as new, it is.  If we say it has some marks around, it does.  And if we say it is not suitable for a grade 8 pianist, chances are it isn't.

One of our pet hates is people or companies selling 'refurbished' pianos.  Granted some of these may well be 'part' refurbished to a good standard, but with over 9000 parts in an upright piano, how many have really been 'refurbished' and not just had the odd felt or sticking key sorted.  You wouldn't put a new tyre on a car and then sell the car as 'refurbished' would you?  Therefore, you will not see any 'refurbished' pianos for sale at Rowlandson pianos, just good quality serviced pianos.

  • RETURN & REFUND POLICY

If you are unhappy with, or change your mind about your purchase within the first 30 days you are welcome to return it, at your cost, for a full refund as long as it arrives back at Rowlandson pianos in the same condition as it left.  Pianos are a big piece of furniture and are neither cheap or easy to move around and we suggest that we can, at your cost, collect the item or you are welcome to make your own arrangements to return it but we do advice a specialist transport company and can usually recommend someone local to yourselves.

  • DELIVERY INFO

Delivery is charged at £1 per mile using google maps from our base at WF10 3QZ.  We do this so you can quickly and easily work out the delivery charges.  We transport our own pianos but we do work with other respectable piano moving companies who cover other areas and if they can deliver the piano to you cheaper than ourselves we will happily use their services and pass on the savings to yourselves.  Collection is also welcome and we are happy to help with loading if needed but we do advise the use of a specialist piano moving company
