Carlmann 118 upright piano in gloss black. Around 10 years old and in good condition. She also benefits from gold detailing around the piano case. The keys and action feel good and inside the cabinet is immaculate. Has a middle practice pedal if you fancy some midnight practice without annoying the neighbours! We would be happy to recommend this piano to anyone from beginner to intermediate. We can happily play grade 8 classical pieces on the piano without issues. She isn't a professional level piano but would suit 90% of all pianists. A great entry level piano at a great price.
Compared to our other Carlmann for sale which is the 110 version, the 118 version benefits from a taller cabinet and therefore a longer string length to allow greater depth in dynamics compared to the more compact pianos.

Unlike many sellers we are honest and open in our descriptions so as well as listing all the great things about the piano we also like to point out any stand out marks or details so you know exactly what to expect when your piano arrives. Please bear in mind that most gloss finish pianos will have very fine micro scratches in the polyester / polish from dusting and this is pretty much unavoidable. We have NEVER seen a piano without micro scratches.
This Carlmann piano is a great looking piano and in very good condition. Apart from the micro scratches you get on all modern gloss finish pianos there are no significant marks. There are a couple of deeper scratches on the top of the keyboard lid that can only be seen in direct sunlight and cannot be seen when the lid is up. We have shown a photograph of this in the gallery although people would not even notice these and certainly would not point it out but we pride ourselves on honesty and openness.

We actively seek to give an unbiased description of each piano we have for sale including any negative points. Too many times have we turned up to view a 'immaculate' piano to find that it has cup stains and broken hinges etc where people's general response is "what do you expect for 20 years old". We hate this, and I'm sure you do too so you can be sure if we say a piano is as new, it is. If we say it has some marks around, it does. And if we say it is not suitable for a grade 8 pianist, chances are it isn't.
One of our pet hates is people or companies selling 'refurbished' pianos. Granted some of these may be part refurbished to a good standard, but with over 9000 parts in an upright piano, how many have really been 'refurbished' and not just had the odd felt or sticking key sorted. If you put a new tyre on a car you would describe the car as refurbished would you? Therefore, you will not see any 'refurbished' pianos for sale at Rowlandson pianos, just good quality serviced pianos.
RETURN & REFUND POLICY
If you are unhappy with, or change your mind about your purchase within the first 30 days you are welcome to return it, at your cost, for a full refund as long as it arrives back at Rowlandson pianos in the same condition as it left. Pianos are a big piece of furniture and are neither cheap or easy to move around and we suggest that we can, at your cost, collect the item or you are welcome to make your own arrangements to return it but we do advice a specialist transport company and can usually recommend someone local to yourselves.
DELIVERY INFO
Delivery is charged at £1 per mile using google maps from our base at WF10 3QZ. We do this so you can quickly and easily work out the delivery charges. We transport our own pianos but we do work with other respectable piano moving companies who cover other areas and if they can deliver the piano to you cheaper than ourselves we will happily use their services and pass on the savings to yourselves. Collection is also welcome and we are happy to help with loading if needed but we do advise the use of a specialist piano moving company
