Bechstein Studio 115 upright piano - Gloss black
Ultra rare modern Bechstein Studio 115 piano in gloss black. This is one of those fantastic pianos that very rarely come on the market. At the time of writing there were non for sale within the UK and a few in Europe at £10,000 so a very competitively priced premium upright piano. Bechstein are up there with the very best piano makers and if you come and play her you will appreciate why. She has a full Renner action including Renner hammer heads. This was one of the first new design Bechsteins produced and is now called the Bechstein classic 118 (even though she is labelled as a 115 she is actually 118cm tall 🙃
This piano is an absolute joy to play and for a medium sized upright really has a great depth of sound. She would suit even the most demanding pianists including concert standard. Definately one
of the best medium sized upright pianos we have played.
The Bechsteins have such a warm rounded tone and she is no exception. A completely different sounding piano to the more common Yamaha and Kawai models and just all round a bit better. Please come and play her and see for yourself.
A new equivalent Classic 118 has a rrp of £18,500 so an enormous saving. She definitely won’t be here long!!!!!!

Unlike many sellers we are honest and open in our descriptions so as well as listing all the great things about the piano we also like to point out any stand out marks or details so you know exactly what to expect when your piano arrives. Please bear in mind that most gloss finish pianos will have very fine micro scratches in the polyester / polish from dusting and this is pretty much unavoidable. We have NEVER seen a piano without micro scratches.
We would normally sell this piano for £8500 but unfortunately she has a couple of cosmetic issues.
There are 2 small 15mm scratches on the very front of the piano, a 2” scratch on the top of the bottom left leg that we have touched in. The biggest issue is from some angles there is a slight cloudiness to the polyester finish on a few of the panels. Most notable the rear top. In direct light you can see it clearly but in our showroom setting you can’t see it and in the house we collected her from she was immaculate so hopefully that gives you an idea of the type of mark and the best place to have her. Please check the pictures to see detailed pictures and we are sure you can see it certainly doesn’t detract from her overall appearance.

Too many times have we turned up to view a 'immaculate' piano to find that it has cup stains and broken hinges etc where people's general response is "what do you expect for 20 years old". We hate this, and I'm sure you do too so you can be sure if we say a piano is as new, it is. If we say it has some marks around, it does. And if we say it is not suitable for a grade 8 pianist, chances are it isn't.
One of our pet hates is people or companies selling 'refurbished' pianos. Granted some of these may be part refurbished to a good standard, but with over 9000 parts in an upright piano, how many have really been 'refurbished' and not just had the odd felt or sticking key sorted. If you put a new tyre on a car you would describe the car as refurbished would you? Therefore, you will not see any 'refurbished' pianos for sale at Rowlandson pianos, just good quality serviced pianos.
RETURN & REFUND POLICY
If you are unhappy with, or change your mind about your purchase within the first 30 days you are welcome to return it, at your cost, for a full refund as long as it arrives back at Rowlandson pianos in the same condition as it left. Pianos are a big piece of furniture and are neither cheap or easy to move around and we suggest that we can, at your cost, collect the item or you are welcome to make your own arrangements to return it but we do advice a specialist transport company and can usually recommend someone local to yourselves.
DELIVERY INFO
Delivery is charged at £1 per mile using google maps from our base at WF10 3QZ. We do this so you can quickly and easily work out the delivery charges. We transport our own pianos but we do work with other respectable piano moving companies who cover other areas and if they can deliver the piano to you cheaper than ourselves we will happily use their services and pass on the savings to yourselves. Collection is also welcome and we are happy to help with loading if needed but we do advise the use of a specialist piano moving company
