About Us

Rowlandson pianos was born out of the need to source good quality pianos at reasonable prices.  When Sacha started teaching 15 years ago pupils regularly asked what piano they should get.  At that time the pianos of choice were Yamaha U and Kawai BL models which could be picked up around £1200-£1500 but as times have moved on these have got more and more expensive (£3000 - £9000) and opened up a gap in the market for a more intermediate range of pianos and we hope to be able to work between the two levels from a good beginner to concert pianist standard.  We specialise in 1970’s and onwards pianos as we feel these give the best performance and reliability for the financial outlay.  We are not here to try and sell you the most expensive piano or pressure you into something you don’t need.  We understand that £950 is some people’s maximum budget and we aim to be able to supply a good quality piano for that budget and not judge on why you aren’t spending £5000 on your first piano.  Alternatively we are able to supply the more advanced pianist with something that can take them all the way to the top of their career.  Why not give us a call or drop us an email to ask about what options we have available.
